The output of Assessment 1 will form the basis of this assessment (but not counted towards the 1,200-word requirement of length). Students are required to constructing a full-fledged academic discussion by:
(1) Providing the definitions of the theories on art & design, society, identity, etc. that are related to the report-&-reflection of the personal history;
(2) Reviewing relevant literatures on the theories to prove their validity to the current discussion; and
(3) Producing an argumentation of the relevance between the report-&-reflection and the theories introduced.
The assessment criteria will focus on whether students can produce academic explanatory, reviewing and argumentative writing in an effective and organized manner. Students need to observe the convention of academic writing, such as referencing, in this assessment.
