Seventy five percent of the respondents were female aged between 18 and 25. Most of them hold a bachelors degree in science from reputable institutions of higher learning. They noted that their gender greatly affects their work mainly due to gender discrimination. Their colleagues are not willing to associate with them making it difficult to gain their support in performing tasks. Out of 100 respondents, 90 of them noted that they had learnt many things about management at a construction including the need to carry out projects in accordance to the standards of construction. A similar number also visit a construction site once a week. 90 percent of the responses also indicated that most of the respondents have ever witnessed a risky incident at a construction site involving the collapse of a building that claimed many lives. They thought that a good construction project should be functionally and financially viable apart from following constructions standards.
I used questions in order to collect all the necessary information about the audience. The questions helped me tailor the speech to meet the expectations of the audience. This will ensure that I am effective in making the presentation. The use of questions ensures that I get firsthand information that will aid making accurate adaptations. The questionnaire revealed that the respondents had a positive attitude towards the topic (Verderber, Verderber & Sellnow, 2007). They were ready to shed more light on their answers. They also revealed that they had adequate knowledge about construction management and their risks. I arrived at the audience consisting of individuals aged between 18 and 25 because they consisted of 75 percent of the study population. The speech will use examples relevant to their age.
AUDIENCE ANALYSIS WORKSHEET
1.What is the audience for the speech?
The audience for the speech is aged between 18 and 35. 75 percent of the respondents were aged between 18 and 25.
2.What is the specific purpose of the speech?
The specific purpose of the speech is to address the main causes of accidents at construction sites. Ninety percent of the respondents had witnessed an accident at a site of construction relating mostly to the collapse of buildings.
3.In choosing the specific purpose, how will you narrow the topic so it will be appropriate to this audience?

Response to the physical setting
The audience is not responsive in the evening because they are tired. I will use animations and humor when delivering the speech in order to keep the audience entertained (Verderber, Verderber & Sellnow, 2007). I will also involve the audience in the speech through questions in order to keep them lively.
Knowledge about the topic
I will use a short introduction because ninety percent of the respondents indicated that they had knowledge on managing at a construction site. It therefore means that they have prior knowledge. I will omit information that the audience does not need.
