Assignment: During the course, we shall learn many management theories that help us understand how people work together in orgenizations. Some organizations exemplary in how they manage these topics, for example: GE and leadership, Apple and innovation. The goal of this assignment is two fold, first to connect the theories we have learned in class with how one organiation seems to manage them ideally, and second to explore how the ideas may be implemented in other organizations.
+ You will be responsible for selecting a well-known organization and a topic that they manage effectively.YOU WILL RESEARCH YOUR SELECTED ORGANIZATION AND MANAGEMENT TOPIC. YOUR PAPER SHOULD INCLUDE A SHORT DESCRIPTION OF THE ORGANIZATION AND IN-DEPTH ANALYSIS OF THE BEST PRACTICE USED IN THE ORGANIZATION AND HOW SPECIFICALLY THEY ARE AND WHAT HAS MADE THEM SO SUCCESSFUL. IN order to uncover the needed information you will need to do research on the organization, it is not enough to visit the organization website, you need to read and take into account what other professional publications have said about the organiation with respect to the topic you will be stutying. Reviewing publications like BusinessWeek, Fortune, Inc, etc would be a good place to start. In order to further your understanding looking at more rigorous articles in Harvard Business Review, Sloan Management Review, California Management Review, Academy of Management Perspectives, will make for an excellent paper.
