The course was successful all along besides inevitable, normal student challenges which I had first supposed to encounter before I settled fully to start my course. Initially as, I was joining the course I had presumed idea on what the course entailed, which finally came to realize that I had misjudged the course. I thought the whole course entailed writing where its knowledge I will not use it anywhere except in class confinements. Besides, after reading course description it portrayed itself as a demanding course where I featured myself not being able to meet what the entire course entailed. This comprised of strict coursework grading and penalties which were imposed on anyone who did not fulfill what course entailed. These comprised attendance consideration in the grading of one’s performance, poor acknowledging of professional scripts when writing which yields to plagiarism and assignment hand in deadlines which were supposed to be “due noon”. Additionally, complete compliance to “student code of conduct,” which involved switching phones in class which tough for me since I was used to be having it on everywhere even in church.
Conversely, the course was of vital essence since it was geared to impact one with skills which were applicable in life especially writing and how to shun plagiarism and produce quality work. It entailed impacting students with knowledge on sound rhetorical organization coupled with understanding of diverse writing genres on the basis of application in numerous disciplines. Additionally, I was upon the completion be capable to analyze, incorporate plus document references properly and learn how evidence it backed in diverse disciplines together with differentiating them. The course entailed adequate communication through writing by citing correctly using the already convectional styles like MLA.
Despite the course being helpful to me, there are few areas, which I did like especially the grading using attendance marks since an individual might be incapable of attending tuition sessions and once reported might be presumed to be dodging them. Consequently, one may yield up being under graded whilst he was an outstanding performer. Contrarily, besides the demanding coursework it has aided me remolding me to apply in future what have learnt. This includes the recast story has been used to give some decent sessions to the students of always expecting God in different forms of life. Occasionally in life, people do have doubts which may hamper them from fulfilling their goals. For example, the destruction of twin towers in the United States interfered with most people’s dreams. However, life has it challenges too individuals have to undergo. This renews people’s strength and prepares them for harder challenges in prospect.
Respect of culture is essential in life. It identifies one with a society in life and classifies his roots. Achievement in life is based on our history and defines its basis. Life gives people a novel probability to perk up their lives, as well as progress from the precedent mistakes. No man is an island; hence people should learn to appreciate each other to surmount the life mishaps. The other most fundamental thing entails laying our faith in God, for he reigns on the earth.
This course has assisted me since I am able to utilize the obtained skills in academic writing with the concerned organizations after school. Based on what I have learned I foresee significant advancements in my course grade, since the course will enable me to score higher even in other subjects. In reference to my past performance and comparing it with the current, it is a clear depiction appreciable improvement where I believe I deserve grade C+, which will be my pleasure to have B.
