Relationship of Pluto outing and field of pharmacy
The smallest planet on the earth was not so small considering that it caught the attention an approximate 2500 astronomers all delegating its fate. The article reviews the astronomers’ decision to relinquish Pluto from its usual status as a planet, therefore, effective immediately proclaiming the solar system to have only eight planets. According to the astronomers, the new definition of a planet did not fit the overall description of Pluto. A concise definition of a planet is a phenomenon that has eluded scientist for a long time. The previous definition of a planet defined a planet as a body that revolves around the sun. A planet as per the new rules should be fully dependant to its own parameters this to say that a planet should not in any case share any form of contingency to its neighboring planet. Pluto failed in this clause because apparently its rather rigid revolution orbit crosses paths with that of the planet Neptune. The overall decision received mixed reviews from the different astronomers, but the fact that most of them were not in unison was evident in that only 300 of the astronauts voted for the fate of Pluto. Pluto that has formed part of the nine planets of the solar system since 1930 now removed from the group and not long after talks of upping the number to 12 were already in motion. However, the response to the motion was of a critical disqualification by the astronomers as evident by their disagreeing to the concept. Ironically considering that scientist are supposed to be the most objective people most of them who commented on the article only presented hypothetical solutions to the resultant terming it as a basis of science, and it is ever changing nature. The shift in the solar system will undoubtedly affect the education system as quoted by a London high school teacher. Teachers have to include now the new subject into their studies as part of the teaching, syllabus though, the response from the teacher indicated that the subject was not one of concern because apparently, that is the nature of science and change is a guaranteed hazard in its application. A deeper look into the situation that Pluto plays subject to by learned individuals explains clearly the inconsistency of science and the different manipulations that it plays subject to irrespective to its vital reliability. Pharmaceutical science by definition is a combination of predefined disciplines that dictate different aspects that dictate the paradigm of drugs application. The field is subject to reference of both supportive and primary science ergo to include chemistry, biology and mathematics all to form basis for creation of drugs. The relevance of pharmaceutical science is beyond self-explanatory and can only be termed to be critical to the human life by its own merit. The art of pharmaceutical science has been around for a substantial period since people have always fallen sick and treatment administration then and now are all a complements to the use of science. Considering this aspect, the shift of Pluto from a planet to another earthly body only begs the question to the reliability of science as a point of reference even with it is continuous inconsistencies and how will then affect now in the various fields applying it. This means that a drug approved or dispensation at an earlier date at the present date plays subject to fate as emerging evolutions in science can easily disapprove previous applications of the same science. A good example to the subject is that of the administration of beta-blockers to patients suffering from heart failure. Pharmacists at the period were restricted from administration of the medication to patients with heart failure as it worsens their condition. Ironically, the verge of the 90s saw the approval of the same drug even to the extent of terming it as a drug that actually improved the health of patients with heart failure and reducing the death of health failures at a 50% threshold. Without a doubt, the reliance of science is subject to time, correct or wrong are aspects that do not matter in the field as science defines different aspects pragmatically in accordance to the period of reference.
