Purpose of the Statement

Relocate the businesses to a new premise with minimal disruption and efficiency.

Save costs during the whole process.

To ensure that all productive staff are maintained during the procedure.

Project management

Alexis Carrington will head Dynasty Travel services. Olive Melrose will head 2point4, Lee Sharp to head Daze Travel and Cynthia Growrie will head the Human Resource and Francesca Pravano will head marketing. Accounting and Finance and IT will be headed by Mary Maclean and Jameel Iqbal.

These people will be responsible for all aspects the departments named above. These aspects include staff selection and training to ensure that all selected staff is scheduled for the training without having their departments unattended.

Ensure the safe of movement of files and any other resources that need to be moved.

Project description

The project consists of construction of a new complex to house all the businesses of Globe Inc. It includes the setting up of the various offices for the agents and administrative staff. It also involves cancelling all the contracts of the various offices that are being rented by various business entities and the sale of the owned premises. There is also staff selection and send off of the redundant staff.

The last part is the decommissioning of the old premises and commissioning of the new offices without affecting the daily operations.

Project Objectives

To minimize costs of relocating and merging all the nine branches of the business at the least cost and with minimal interruption of day to day activities. The project should also be able to ensure that the entire business will be in one location up and running by the stipulated time frames.

 

Project Deliverables

There will be time limits for each of the selected managers to avail or have a policy that relates to their business sector, Human resource policy, finance policy and marketing policies.

There should be time limits on the various activities and their datelines which includes

  • Notice of vacation of the rented premises to be in line with their respective contracts.
  • Decommissioning of the old premises
  • Notices of relocation be made clear to the customers
  • Ordering and installation of furniture
  • System installation, connection and set up
  • Staff selection and training

Project Approach

This is done with the help of the various professionals contracted on their respective fields. They will be guided by the respective managers as selected. They will ensure that their departments or line of business are up and ready for operation by the end of the project.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

The various professionals are responsible for the timely delivery of their responsibilities they are contracted services.

It is the role of the various managers in each department to ensure that their departments have met the deliverables required from them for the relocation and merger of the business.

Project Constraints

Time limits are likely to be of essence and most of the activities fall almost at the same time.

Seasonal activities- this should have been done during the off peak season and not during the high season.

Project Assumptions

Are as follow

  • The costs of materials do not increase during construction.
  • No damage is occurred to company machinery.
  • The cost of paying off redundant staff is taken care of through their respective contracts
  • The sale and legal costs are taken care of through the sale of the owned assets
  • The transportation costs are immaterial.
  • The professionals contracted to perform certain duties are selected competitively and at lowest cost.
