Resource Evaluation

Decide whether or not these resources contain the key elements that you would expect to find in a resource that is of good quality for use in conducting historical research.

Each evaluation will take the form of an annotated bibliography containing the following sections:

a) Citation

The citation should appear at the top of the page in Chicago Notes-and-Bibliography style or Turbian Notes-and-Bibliography style. For more information on these styles you can consult INFORMATION LITERACY>DOCUMENTATION STYLE. You can use The Bedford Bibliographer for assistance with the formatting. A tutorial for the Bedford Bibliographer is available at information literacy>documentation style>Chicago-Turabian footnote & endnote citation formats PART 2. For purposes of this assignment the citation should be single spaced.

b) Summary

Provide a summary in which you identify the resource  contents, main ideas or arguments. The summary should be one paragraph long and double spaced.

c) Assessment

Begin this paragraph by stating whether or not you consider the resource to be of good quality for use in historical research. Identify the key elements contained in or missing from the resource that determine its quality. The assessment should be one paragraph long and double spaced.
