4. Based on the textbook material, lecture notes, video, and the homework exercises identify the following:
a. The research question the author is trying to answer.
b. Write a short summary or abstract (1 page) of the article. (Write your proposed research question at the top of your assignment)

Take note of the following points when developing your question:
Research questions are not simply answered with \”yes\” or \”no\”
Research questions are best if written with \”Why\” or \” How\”
The other, more preferred option is to write research questions which display a potential relationship between two or more variables. For example:
\”What is the relationship between early childhood drug use and adult criminality\”
\”What is the effect of viewing aggression in the media on crime rates in urban cities of the US\”
As you see from these examples and from the video presentation research questions are designed to significantly focus the direction of your proposal and to evaluate the effect of one variable upon another.
