Design a social media marketing strategy on any one of the following:
1. To launch a new soft drink product in Australian market
2. Promoting Flinders University in India or China
3. Promoting any professional service i.e. lawyers, doctors, accountant etc. in
Adelaide market.
Overview
Please note that it is a strategic plan. So, you should broadly follow the structure of a
social media marketing plan discussed in the lecture and textbook.
Your strategy should include an assumption, where you would highlight some of the
basic assumptions/background right in the beginning of the strategic document.
These could include assumption/background about the new product – whether it is
an extension of a well-known brand or new to the market or choice of a specific
market or specific professional service or any other similar assumptions that helps in
providing clarity to the reader.
Follow the social media marketing plan. You can adapt as you proceed in addressing
the key objective. For example, some sections such as budget might not be needed or
you could make a reasonable assumption about them.
Finally, situation analyses, implementation and measure section has the most
weighting. So, allocate word space accordingly.
Some guidelines and additional information
1. You are expected to provide around 5-8 good quality references. These will
be journal articles or books (not textbooks)
2. You must reference the articles following Harvard Referencing Guide or any
other academic referencing guide. But be consistent.
