A new book on strategy was released in May 2015. In this book, the authors have looked at strategy from the point of three companies that defined the hi-tech age from the 1990s onwards: Microsoft, Intel and Apple. They have studied them from the point of view of three personalities that built these companies; Bill Gates, Andrew Grove and Steve Jobs. The book is very interesting, and an excerpt is available to read for free here.
Please read pp 1-21 . this board where you comment on the strategy rules as defined by the authors. Give me a couple of good examples of how these rules can be useful to companies other than the 3 being discussed here.
