Systems and equipment for heating and cooling
The water at 1 is carrying heat. What is the source of the heat
The source of the heat is the evaporator.
At 2, where is the water’s heat going to stop next
The heat is recycled back into the room. During the process, the heat heats up the condensed water at point 5. The heat is then fanned back into the room after hitting the water.
What is the component at 3 called
Condenser
Purpose
It is the compressive refrigerating cooling system. It condenses and cools off the refrigerant gas producing a warm liquid. Low temperatures at this point (3)
What is the component at 4 called
Evaporator
Purpose
The evaporator allows refrigerant in small amounts to go through the evaporator to help the cooling process. High temperatures are observed at this point (4)
Where is the water dripping from the pan coming from? At 5
The water dripping from point 5 is the evaporated and condensed water. The water comes from the condenser and the evaporator.
After the removal of the heat from the room with the sweaty guy in it, what is the heat’s next stop in the process.
The heat is recycled back into the room. During the process, the heat heats up the condensed water at point 5. The heat is then fanned back into the room after hitting the water.
Does this systems use Freon
Most food refrigerators use Freon because the gas helps it keep the food cool. In this case, this is not a food refrigerator hence no Freon is needed in the compressive refrigeration system.
Is the water at 6 warmer or cooler than the water at 7
The water at point 6 is way much cooler that the water at point 7. The cooling tower condenses the water coming out at point 6 making it much cooler.
2) What temperature is the cold food being held at (both in degrees Fahrenheit and in Celsius)
The food will freeze at the same temperature at which the walk inn freezer is set and in this café, it will be at zero degrees. The Fahrenheit will be at 0 thus (-18 Celsius) inside the machine. In most cases, the Fahrenheit levels is-10 (-23 Celsius). This is because for each five degrees, it means that the Fahrenheit levels are above zero.
Is this system condenser being cooled by water or by air
The system condenser on the article is being cooled by water. The system condenser has H-O-H, which is a water technology and acts as a cooling system. It absorbs the flow of heat hence making a cooling effect in the system condenser.
State of the refrigerant at 9
The state of the refrigerant at point 9 is at a saturation point. This is with regards that the receiver seen at 9 has its entrance slightly above the liquid levels. Therefore, the inverted dip tube at point 9 makes it hard to see anything apart from a saturated condition.
PTAC unit or split system
The system above closely resembles a split system, air condition. The cooling effect whereby heat pumps are involved makes it closely related to the air conditioning systems.
Name of the Component
The component marked 10 is a evaporator. The evaporator allows refrigerant in small amounts to go through the evaporator to help the cooling process. In this machine, the evaporator turns the chemical liquid form into the gaseous form. This is shown by the 4 arrows which are indicated to be going outside the cooling device.
3) Ozone generators ‘ozonators’’
The practice of using ozonators or the Ozone generators to freshen up a room is not a very good idea. Various research works indicate that repeated exposure to ozone levels may result to loss of functioning lungs, inflammation, reduced lung elasticity and a times scarring which might be permanent. This is because of the oxidative properties, which are found in the ozone. Hence, this may react with most of the biological substrate, although the cell membrane will appear to be a toxicity site.
During the process of ozonating, there are many chemicals which are involved hence these chemicals have the ability to be lethal to the body. Generally, ozone generators should not be used in the hotel rooms because they are risk to a person’ health, even if they are distributed in low concentrations. Though this can be argued in that, ozonators degrades airborne chemicals and they can be used during emergency cases in the rooms.
