A summary of my activities

1) Practical ability to leverage off web 2.0 to enhance personal branding. Personal branding via the application of web 2.0 gives a user the advantage of control over factors that remain in somewhat default state such as a family, associate and friends. This analogy deduces from the perception that brands remain growing simultaneously online through comments and feedback and remain controlled by the user. The best thing about the application of web 2.0 remains that information is only a click away hence the concept of universal relevance and exposure is a guaranteed condition. Personal branding provides a substitute for increased systematic structure that characterizes globalized capital. Statistical analysis indicate that the use of personal branding methods act as an extension of working hours. Practically the evolution of web 2.0 remains a growing phenomenal even growing beyond what analyst anticipated in terms of extending a users workweek. Before the existence of personal branding, workers had to work extra hard with more roles to perform per person. The most discouraging fact about this situation remains that ample compensation for work done remained evasive characterized as precaution amidst increasing global competition. The lack of clearly defined roles in the work place for each worker plays a major role the evolution of personal branding. This hence concludes that personal branding exists from the increased working hours, the scarcity of available jobs and competition over those that exist. The application of personal branding gives the user ability to gain a label in an optimistic light despite what other parties may think of them. Those that use personal branding enjoy the luxury of using web 2.0 as a tool for communication in engaging, collaborating and creating their identities. Web 2.0 applications in creation of personal brands gives the user the ability to increase their economic capital by using pleasure gained from use of web as an objective to keep target audience coming back. Face book remains my greatest attribute in social networking as it offers a greater platform in global connection. A higher number of people in Facebook help me share information with a greater audience and concurrently allows them the capability to refer the information to their friends. Twitter does not catch my fancy as pertains to personal branding. Users on twitter use the platform for casual purposes and in most cases, information posted lacks intellectual aspects hence my reduced application of the platform for objectivity. Grade 5

2) Manner and consistency of participation in weekly workshops activities. (Additional / equivalent activities will also be counted so long as they focus on E2 / Web 2.0)

Facebook remains the most frequent tool that I apply of the various web 2.0 platforms. Time acts as an important factor to the number of posts that I place on my page. Since wikis do not confine to technicalities of language or application, they play an important role in communication to fellow associates with ease and in a casual perspective. My linkedin account helps create business relationships that further articulate the authenticity and strength of my personal brand. The application of enterprise 2.0 seeks to use social networks as a platform to transverse information of a more entrepreneurial basis. By placing posts and comments on agendas relating to enterprise 2.0, I manage to receive replies from concerned and interested parties. I realize that the key to utilization of web 2.0 remains ones relevance to trending issues and comprehensive research; I plan to give more attention to other blogs and simultaneously reply to different posts. This helps gain a wider fan base while enriching my knowledge on interested aspects. Grade 5

3) Ability to appraise Web2.0 strategies and solutions for organisational and personal success.

Companies that have fully adopted and utilized web 2.0 tools act the perfect reference to the advantages of using the tools in their endeavors. Huge companies such as Coca-Cola are a great testament to the benefits of using these tools mostly as a communication tool and as a platform to create awareness of any new developments in the present and in the future. Tools also ease the process of communication between members of the organization on a hierarchical or personal basis. I am mostly pleased with the fact that people are seamlessly shifting into use of web 2.0 methods without difficulty and use the tool to store and retrieve data without difficulty. I plan to continue exploring the various types of web 2.0 tools to better my personal brand. The concepts that apply to the creation of personal branding offer a less challenge to that of a company since my application of the various tools enables me share information in a broadcast fashion to preferred people. 4) Ability to engage successfully with the wider community (including people outside of University) using Web 2.0 tools and techniques.

Web 2.0 helps links me with people in different faculties in the university and furthermore those of different geographical locations with ease. Software giants such as IBM and Microsoft provide enhance the application of web 2.0 in an enterprise. Microsoft avenues of application include wikis, blogs, and social sites while IBM in individual or company profiles, communities targeted, blogs and dogear. In both platforms, the company that hosts the application is one that is trustable. The application of both tools also ensures that information hosted is impenetrable hence; enterprise servers can suffice for hosting information. Both applications provide for the leniency of extension where needed. The most powerful tool in application of web 2.0 is its ability to offer the user a basis from which to make a choice from; that is from comments already posted by other parties on the relevance and character of an interested subject. Blogosphere that hypothetically constitutes to the collection of various blogs provides such a platform of information by implying that since blogs are connected via the internet, their virtual connection remains grounds for consideration of information that they comprehensively contain as reference to the fact. Web 2.0 application relies mostly on the fact that its diverse concepts apply to different business settings and platforms. In the investigation of the best web 2.0 tool to use in spreading information, I rely on the comments that I receive from different users after consistently placing questions on face book and blogs form checking on their replies. 5) Leadership via the ability to contribute to the structure and format of the workshop activities, and the smooth running of the online community (week 2 onwards).
The activities carried out by the use of different web 2.0 platforms require that information pertain to the details with minimal variables explained to the community. Famous people use wap 2.0 methods especially politicians and celebrities to campaign or as a method to gauge the public’s opinion through the application of social media and wikis. Leadership is a changing dynamic with the continuous need for re-invention to change the status quo and avoid monotony. The use of web 2.0 incorporated in enterprises ensures change by characterizing new leadership style as experimental since they remain at liberty to change instantaneously if a concept or style is not compatible. Enterprises leadership remains dynamic without having to subdue to business as usual. The old days before web 2.0 existed had leaders portray a standalone figure in an enterprise and did not take advice or comments from other parties in the association. New leadership style thanks to enterprise 2.0 recognizes the advantage of community as assurance for continuity in leadership to follow not forgetting that working as a community provides satisfaction as opposed to being liable to all decisions in the organization.
