Supervisor feedback and comment
This is potentially an interesting study but the focus chosen is rather broad and unrealistic considering the scope of the undergraduate dissertation. The Introduction sets out the objectives of the study which ultimately have not been met.
The study offers an overview of McDonald’s international activities but remains largely descriptive with limited originality and critical evaluation of prior knowledge and primary data. The findings of the interviews, which have been reported do not necessarily inform the analysis. This is not surprising taking into account the underdeveloped methodology.
The study has discussed its approach to ethics in research and limitations of the study. Harvard referencing errors demonstrate the lack of knowledge of referencing conventions. A disappointing result which could have been prevented by a better application of time management, planning and use of academic supervision provided by the university.

2nd Marker feedback and comment
This reads like an essay and offers no new insights into McDonalds’ globalisation strategy than could already be found in existing literature. Very poor research methodology, and little real evidence from your 2 ‘interviewees’ that could not already be found in the relevant literature. Too much reliance on one source – Ritzer – for your information about McDonalds, with little attempt to include your own critical thinking on the topic. You do not seem to understand that McDonalds already uses local foods to localise menus around the world – although you offer this as a recommendation on p23.
You do not seem to have understood the nature, standards, or requirements of academic research. Research should provide new understandings derived from questions to which you do not know the answer at the outset, rather than being a regurgitation of easily accessed information already in the public domain.
