Each student is to select a full-length movie addressing American Corrections and write a critique of at least five issues identified in the movie and what scholars say about those issues in reality . Students may not select, Civil Brand, Against the Wall, Brubaker, The Lena Baker Story or Stranger Inside. Movies must be approved by the instructor no later than August 27, 2015 and that approval must be attached to the final paper. The four to five page movie critique paper is due no later than September 17, 2015 (80 points) A 10 minute presentation on the overview of the findings will start on September 22, 2015 and be scattered throughout the semester. (20 points). You must submit this paper to SMARTHINKING two weeks before the deadline date and TURNITIN one week before the deadline date. All documentation from both must be attached showing the date of submission.
