History
According to this article, not everyone has an equal right. This is because some people are more powerful than others. Some men are capable of enslaving others because they possess superior weapons or knowledge compared to others. People have needs like food to eat, clothing to keep warm and shelter for protection from the harsh climatic conditions like rainfall or bright sunlight. Not everyone can afford to have all these needs because of lack of resources or simply, the money to buy them. Because of this lack of resources, such people tend to live in poverty. People who are poverty stricken are often obligated to work for the wealthy to get some payment. These poor people are not of the same financial status as the wealthy and that is why they have to work for the wealthy to give them money. The poor people are not always unhappy because they are born in that state and they believe that is how they ought to live. One vital thing that the poor people lack is money, which is critical in everything that people do in the modern world. Without money, a poor person may not have sufficient food to eat; he may not even be able to afford bus fare to move from one point to the other. The life that the poor people live is quite miserable compared to the wealthy people.
Q A. Impact of Europeans to Africans
The Europeans brought many changes when they came to colonize Africans between 1500 and 1800. One of the main impacts was education. The Europeans came with the system of education whereby children could be educated and earn their degrees. Education is critical in every part of the globe because it enlightens people on how the world operates. Africans benefited from this because they never had any form of education before the Europeans came to Africa. Educated Africans now understood how to do business and get well paying jobs. With the knowledge of making money in the modern system, the educated Africans could evade poverty. This is quite different from the Europeans because they already had the system of education; therefore, it could barely affect them that much. African transformed from traditional ways of living to modern ways, which includes technological advancement that made life easy. Transport and communication transformed from the traditional modes to the modern means of transport like automobiles, trains and use of the telephones. There were roads built to make transportation easy. Africa transformed significantly from the primitive lifestyle to the modern lifestyle. The Europeans brought a shift into the borders of African continent. The Europeans imposed the borders that divide African countries today. This means that the Europeans helped the Africans in mapping the countries of the African continent. The European nations brought the founding of private companies in Africa. Businessmen were interested in making money in Africa and exploiting the natural resources in Africa. The European companies developed their own methods of recruiting labor and taxation systems. The Europeans also offered charters because the companies were responsible for all their expenses. The Europeans transformed Africans to Christians. Christianity was advantageous to other beliefs because it promoted education and equality for everyone regardless of age, sex, race or nationality. The Christian missionaries also brought education and healthcare. Hospitals were built to take care of the sick people. This reduced the rate of date caused by diseases in Africa. The Africans started to read the Bible, which taught Christian values. Some African used to practice the tradition of murdering twins. The Europeans discouraged this practice because it proved to be horrific and primitive. Some African communities also practiced sexism and violence against women. The Europeans discouraged this practice of violence against women.
Q B. Impact of Trans Atlantic slave trade
The Trans Atlantic slave trade increased distrust, insecurity and conflicts amongst the African communities. This is because some Africans were seizing and selling other Africans to the Europeans as slaves. Since the Europeans intermingled with the Africans, the two groups of people exchanged languages amongst each other. This resulted into mixed tribes creating new languages. Many of the Africans, Europeans and Americans lost their cultural beliefs. There was also cultural renewal, cultural diversity and hybridization. The Europeans got superior to the Africans since racism was on the rise. The monarchs of Africans were demolished as the Europeans kidnapped Africans. A number of tribes got extinct because most of the African cities were destroyed. The Europeans were robbing Africans of their resources. There was rising dependence on European products. The Europeans gained from the African slaves because they got cheap labor. The Europeans also got a new business because they sold the African slaves to Americans. The Americans too benefited from the labor that they got from African slaves. The African slaves worked for them in their gardens and fields. Africa got betrayed by the Europeans and some other few Africans who wanted money. Most Africans tried to fight the Europeans but the few greedy Africans who betrayed them made the Europeans succeed in getting the slaves from Africa and transporting them to America. Africans were mistreated by most of the slave owners because they were whipped and forced to work. Sometimes the slaves had to work the whole day in without food. The slave owners were brutal and never cared about the African slaves. In fact, the slave owners treated the slaves like animals.
Q C. The political climate of France, The Congo and China during the 1600
During this period, France was a principle power and its rival was Rome. France was the point of Enlightenment and was a main intellectual movement that taught the power of reason. The French monarchs had the intention of spreading their cultures and traditions to the rest of the world. However, they got a lot of opposition from the Romans who had the Baroque style. In the 1600, the Europeans arrived in the Congo. The Europeans started to raid the Congo territory to seize some Africans as slaves. There were many wars that took place and several people died during this period. This weakened the political system of the Congo Kingdom. Congo kingdoms had to start over because most of their leaders were murdered. The Portuguese were the people who were responsible for this raid but later on, the Belgians took control of the Kingdom of Congo. In China, there were many invasions from the nomads, and this resulted to the fall of the Ming Dynasty, which had reigned for a long time. The Manchu took over China and ruled with the Qing Dynasty.
