8. NO SUBMISSION VIA EMAIL, NO SLIDING UNDER OFFICE DOOR
9. Proper bibliography/ references page
10. Proper Endnotes page
11. Citations for all quotes, all paraphrases, all additional information in endnotes (DO NOT USE FOOTNOTES)
12. Adhere strictly to History Department style for all citations, all references (Chicago Manual of Style) *see TRU Handbook for History Students*
13. Use of at least 2 (two) primary sources, and at least 3 (three) secondary sources MUST BE EVIDENT IN YOUR ESSAY

17. use of course textbooks as sources for your essay is NOT ACCEPTABLE
18. use of Wikipedia, or any encyclopedia (whether online, or hard copy) NOT ACCEPTABLE
19. when supplying extensive excerpts from sources, or using table or illustrations, the use of appendices is required
20. quoting or paraphrasing from in-class lecture material (Dr. St. John-Stark’s) is NOT permitted
21. BIOGRAPHICAL ESSAYS NOT PERMITTED
22. Use of essays submitted in other courses is NOT permitted
