Complete all the sections of this lab, whether or not there are questions associated with it. All of the steps are in your lab book, but I have modified several of the questions. Where I indicate that you may skip a question, still do all the steps – you’ll need those to prepare for subsequent questions. This lab will give you an overview of material we will be covering during the next several lectures.
Note that this lab assumes that you have read Chapter 23 of Universe, and are familiar with terms such as rich cluster and irregular cluster, and with galaxy classification. If you haven’t yet read that material, you need to read it before starting this lab.
