?This assignment will be two pages in length and double-spaced. It can be longer. I want you to have fun with this assignment. This assignment will be a short story, and it should consist of the following elements–
1. Have at least two characters from two different short stories meet and create their own short story from that meeting.
2. Your story should have a beginning, a middle, and an end.
3. Have the two characters deal with some type of conflict, problem, and have them resolve that conflict by the story’s end.
4. Use at least one line from each short story used somewhere in the short story you created.
5. You will not need to cite the lines from the two short stories on the Works Cited
or in the text with in-text citations.
6. The characters need to stay true to their personalities at your short story’s beginning. However, their personalities can change through the course of your short story. For example, Emily was not outgoing in “A Rose for Emily,” so your story should stay true at its beginning by painting Emily as a recluse. However, you can change her personality through the course of your story.
7. Create a title for your short story. Good titles are short and have a little mystery
to them.
