The Muppets is a musical comedy band whose main characters are puppets. The famous group got their name from the combination of the words “marionette “and “Puppets”. But they are not marionettes, right? Well, Henson the producer has maintained that he just liked the name. But we like it too! Don’t we?
Kermit is the oldest Muppet and probably the most experienced. The first Kermit was more lizard-like than froglike made from Henson’s mum’s coat. By 1969, he had transformed into a frog when he featured Sesame Street. Miss Piggy grew up in Iowa; she was young when her dad passed away and her mother was mean, she got into beauty contests to generate income. In the 1976 premiere of the Muppets show, Piggy became the glamorous blonde; the audience’s choice.
No one has a clue about what Gonzo the great was to be. Even the producer of the Muppets had no particular species in mind. Mr. Henson says that Gonzo is a cross breed of a pencil sharpener and a turkey! Imagine that!. Most of the Muppets are lefties! , this Is because of the puppeteers use their right hands to move the characters mouth leaving the left hand free for other things like strumming guitars.
The Muppets shows were filmed in Britain; this is because the show was rejected almost all networks in the USA. Broadcast in America was done later due to the commercial breaks in British films; the American versions had several excised bits and songs.
Constantine is surely a” winner “, I bet he has never lost the votes for “world’s number one criminal”. In the film, “The Muppets most wanted “The thug just broken out of jail in Siberia and is waiting for Dominic Mr. Bad guy in Berlin. In fact, he is the planner of the whole tour as it perfectly coincides with his series of robberies from Berlin, Madrid, Dublin, and London.
Ladies and gentlemen, aren’t “The Muppets most wanted” a likable movie? For me, it was not just funny but fun and heartfelt movie. The characters are all lovable and fit perfectly in their roles.
