a) The play describes the happenings in Willy’s last moments of life probably one day.
b) Willy is portrayed as a disillusioned man who can no longer deliver in every aspect of life and most notably at work.
c) Currently Willy earns purely from commissions without any salary because of his under performance in sales and advertising.
d) The title also depicts on his family,
e) which is unstable since their wishes do not go the right way.
f) Willy’s elder son, Biff had a sporting prowess in high school.
Assignment 3.8
1. He obtained scholarships but could not graduate eventually.
2. Biff’s loss of focus is due to his father’s infidelity, and becomes disappointed when he comprehends that Willy is deceiving on his mother Linda.
3. Happy who is Biff’s younger brother lives in the city but has come to visit his parents during the time of play.
4. The play reveals Happy as conceited but is a faithful follower of his father’s wishes;
5. He does as his father requires in spite of the imaginations and illusions.
6. However, the play portrays Willy as a person who has done several mistakes in life but is fond of flashbacks that make him think that the present situation is equally adept as the previous years.
7. The situation is ironical as Willy use imaginations to restore the distorted family’s image.
8. Willy has a strong competition with his neighbor Charley and perceives his sons to have such achievement as Charley.
9. Eventually when Willy dies no one comes to his funeral, a situation that contradicts Willy’s notion of being loved by many.
10. Linda kneels before Willy’s grave and tells them that she has completed their house payments. They are now free to live on only what they have but not lie.
