Write a short essay providing a concise but personal definition of what the term ‘politics’ means. Include a link to an image or video that according to your definition would be considered ‘political’ and explain why you chose it. Feel free to think locally and globally as well as historically. You don’t have to limit yourself to ‘politics’ of the moment or to the American political process – the elections, political campaigns, political issues in the news. Consider what politics means on the level of the city like Lexington, and on the level of the planet – the sphere of international relations. Don’t go for an easy target, think outside the box and be creative. By all means choose something that, at first sight, may not seem political and explain why it is.
