There has been a great deal of discussion about the efficacy of correctional boot camps. Advocates believe that it reduces recidivism while critics believe that boot camps are poorly conceived programs that will not reduce the recidivism rate. The question is why do you think boot camps have not been as successful in changing offender’s attitudes and behaviors?
