Identify your client’s current vision and mission and analyze your client’s strategy
In less than one page, identify your client’s vision and mission. Consider all of the parts of your client when you reflect on the vision and mission statement. Don’t just copy the vision and mission statements, rather, paraphrase them in your own words and discuss whether or not your client is actually following the statements based on your research.
With the remaining pages in this section, identify your client’s current operations which are specific to their strategy. This section should provide a sound understanding of what your client does. After reading this section the board of directors of your client should feel confident that your team understands where their company operates, how they implement their strategy, and how they make money. State the products and services the company sells – be direct, and obvious about this part. Your analysis of how your client makes money should be as insightful as possible, and easily recognized by the board. The best analysis will consider your client’s net income over a historical time period, not just a snapshot of one revenue period. Further, the analysis will consider the environmental dynamics that your client has operated in during the history of the company. This insight will be helpful when you evaluate your recommendations for the board.
