Your reading of the book With the Old Breed is intended to give an overview of the American war experience in the Pacific, through the eyes of one Marine. Your assignment is to provide a analysis/critique of the book as a whole. Do not make this into either a book report, or a “what I liked, what I did not like” series of specific instances. But rather take what we have discussed in class, augment with readings from the textbook, and approach the book with subjective eyes.
Your reading and analysis from this book will benefit you in additional discussions and assignments throughout the course, which is why it is essential to not wait until week five to do your reading.
Present your critique/analysis in a 4 page paper. Cite any sources used within the paper according to APA format and list them on a separate references page at the end of the paper (Note: The reference page does not count toward the minimum page requirement)
