You are required to read A Civil Action by Jonathan Harr and produce a five to seven page, typed paper (double spaced). In the first part of the paper, thoroughly summarize the main points of the book. Focus on describing the facts of the case and the outcomes of the legal disputes. In the second part of the paper, you should describe the two models of decision-making to be handed out in class (i.e. the adversarial model vs. the organizational maintenance model) and provide factual evidence as to which theory applied to the outcomes of the disputes. Finally, in the third part, conclude your paper with a critique and some reflections on the reading. This section should involve reflecting critically, and linking the reading to the summaries of articles from your other class assignments. You also can describing relevant personal experiences, and/or current events in part two.
