You are the director of an Early Childhood Education Center serving low-income children from non-English speaking homes. Read the Burchinal et. al. (2012) article and review the Preschool Learning Foundations: English Language Development Domain and determine what policy your school will take on the use of the home language for instruction and/or for social-emotional interactions. How will you respond to complaints from parents who oppose your policy? Include discussion of learning theories presented in the Galotti book in addition to at least one other course reading. The midterm should be approximately 5 pages, double-spaced. Please include citations, and a reference list.
