“The media, so it sometimes seems, are merely the conduits of a US hegemony operating with culture rather than military means. The monopolisation of ‘minds’ is evoked as a neo-imperial strategy of domination – films instead of armed force, entertainment rather than dollar imperialism” (Hafez, 2008:83). Argue a case for or against global cultural imperialism as it affects the youth through the media.
