In addition, the patient is supposed to scrutinize the medications, which will be given by the medical facility. In most cases, the medical staff are in a hurry to serve the many patients assigned to the facility hence, they might have limited time dealing with the patients complaints. A patient’s education on medical related issues is the best way to deal with the Medical related mistakes in that, the patient will have the relevant knowledge in double-checking the diagnosis administered to him, properly check and examine the possible treatments, and understanding on the medication given to him. Although it is beyond the patient’s ability to prevent hospital caused infections or a scalpel’s slip during a surgery process, the patient should at least know the doctor well enough by either checking his records or investigating about him to know his abilities in the field. The patient must have enough knowledge about the hospital he intends visit.
Knowledge on the field is essential in that it helps the medical practitioners and their patients to learn and avoid past medical mistakes. By this, the medical related mistakes are bound to be minimal in the future. Reducing of the medical related mistakes is paramount in that, it helps to save time, costs reductions and the patient gains health wise. The patients also get the chance to be cautious on fake medical practitioners and have more knowledge on medical related issues. An ignorant patient is always bound to experience medical complicated issues because of his lack of knowledge on some medical issues.
The whole concept about medical mistakes and errors is closely related to a pharmacy, which serves a lot of patients on a daily basis. Just like the hospitals, the pharmacy is bound to experience medical related errors. Unqualified pharmacist cannot be trusted by his patients on some of the diagnosis he plans to carry out. Unnecessary pharmaceutical mistakes can lead to a number of deaths hence, mistakes reduction is necessary while administering a proper care for patients. Although some mistakes are unavoidable in the administering of the medication by the pharmacists, the patients play a vital role in avoiding the medical mistakes.
