Lifestyle change project
The benefits of proteins in the diet cut across the requirements of the body as to various roles that they play (waterlow, 5). All along I have wished to increase my muscles so as to encourage myself to have a strong appetite. Unfortunately, I have not been remarkably successful through my efforts until I got to learn of the healthy diet plan that incorporates more proteins in the diet. Being a person who is mostly active for most of the day encouraged me to incorporate a healthy plan that would see the success of this plea into gaining extra muscles. While most of the people value the, weight loss, plans to do away with the excess amount of weight in their bodies, gaining weight for me has always been my health issue. Over the years, I have tried several weight gaining programs that could not work for me in order to improve my basal metabolic index to fit my height but, none of them was a success for me. Looking up for a healthy diet that incorporates more proteins was a stepping stone to my health removing all the health problems I had for instance I could not donate blood. Indulging myself into an athletic career has also been my goal which has been, unachievable for quite some time.
Systematic plan
Strategically I came up with a plan to alleviate my situation by ensuring that I ingested healthy foods that had high proteins. In the first place, my eating habits had to change with low amounts of carbohydrates in the diet. Consequently, breakfast for me would consist of unprocessed proteins from eggs and meat or milk accompanied by a slice of bread and a cup of tea or juice. This would be followed by an exercise period that incorporated a vigorous period of aerobics and weight lifting. After the exercise period, I would take some high-protein cereals that incorporated a small value of vegetables just to make them palatable for the body. For lunch, my plate consisted of half proteins, quarter of carbohydrates and quarter of vegetables. Typically for instance ate some pasta with a few vegetables and some beef stew that would add up to half the plate. In between lunch and the evening dinner a casual snack of for instance a sandwich made from beef brawn or, some eggs accompanied by some unskimmed milk or yoghurt would follow just to ensure that I sustained my physique. In the evenings however, I ate less though maintaining more proteins than my normal diet. To improve my body regular exercise and the fact that I ingested food in a total number of five meals instead of the regular three meals that I was used to gave me the attention and the zeal to continue my weight gain plan. Cross cutting into my regular attendance to my exercises has also been an addition to my successful health effect of my body.
Research on topic
The build up of weight and, subsequent muscles are a common discussion of the present with high references to the modification of diet alongside the exercise levels (Waterlow, 20). Any successful plan that has avails the increase in muscle, always involves the intake of high levels of protein. High-protein foods are foods that are rich in the amino acids that enable the proper development of bones and muscles. They are collected of nitrogenous substances that are availed in the amino acids. These nitrogen compounds are convenient for the repairing of the damaged tissues as well as the expansion of the muscles alongside their synthesis. The muscles constantly require a supply of proteins to sustain their build up thus acting as the building blocks of physique. In order to accomplish successfully the aim of muscle increase, an adjustment of the amount of meals taken in a day ensures the proper utilization of energy from the food groups. Smaller meals that have more proteins are a fit diet suggested for the constant growth of muscles. Constant meals that are three hours apart are good start to start, gaining muscles. The three hours ensure that the proteins ingested prior to having already begun the absorption course. The constant meals also avail the instance of the anabolic state of the body happening whereby the muscles are able to grow and get repaired. However, this is only viable with the proper form of exercise for the body in order to avoid the accumulation of proteins which could as well lead to complications, for instance the kidney stones and kidney overload (Waterlow, 43). Food that is rich in the proteins viable for the build up includes both animal and plant sources. Such sources include chicken, fish, and various sources of meat that is lean, egg whites from eggs of any type. Plant sources, of proteins are varieties that are inclusive of the beans, nuts, and cereals that are traditionally available.
Other sources of proteins comprise supplements of proteins which are usually availed in various forms that include powders, tablets bars and even shakes (Willow, 11). Ensuring proper muscle gain ensures the ingestion of the animal proteins, as opposed to the plant proteins. Plant proteins have got unproportionate amounts of amino acids, as opposed to the animal proteins that contain all the essential amino acids for the body. The gain of muscles by incorporating a healthy diet that has got more proteins alleviates the instance of the body from craving for more food. The body feels complete for long thus ensuring proper utilization of energy. To calculate the amount of protein to ingest at any one time on the muscle fabricate up program, the existing body weight should be a guide to this. Eating at least one gramme of proteins sources for each pound of the body mass is the paramount technique to instigate. For instance for a body weight of 170 pounds, one should consume at least 170 grammes of proteins in the diet everyday (Ellie, Debruyne & Pinna, 112). Alongside the increase, of muscles in the body, a plight to ensure the increased production of the hormone glucagon is ensured. The glucagon hormone ensures that the enzymes that make the fat stores in the body are reduced thus ensuring that the body is fit. Whenever one eats any form of protein, the body can only utilize a small amount of the proteins at a time. Therefore, the plan to eat smaller meals ensures a heavier growth of muscles each and every day. On the flip side however, proteins pose a significant risk to the body with close references to damage on the kidney.
Excessive intake of the proteins could as well cause an overload of the kidney during the process of digestion due to the extra amino acids. The overload could lead to a potential collapse of the kidneys and an eventual dialysis and further transplants. Unused proteins in the body are usually stored in the form of fat and could be impending culprits for the cause of everyday life diseases due to the accumulation of fat around the heart. With this risk standing at hand it is predominantly crucial to guarantee that every bit of proteins taken in excess, in the healthy diet, are subjected to exercise of the body. This ensures that the body remains in good physical shape and can accommodate more in the long run. Caution is vital therefore, to visit a specialist who could either be a physician or a nutritionist who gives apt advice on the amounts to increase from the normal diets (Ellie, Debruyne & Pinna, 34). In fact, by and large the recommended proteins in a typical plate would be a quarter of the serving dish while the other quarter contains carbohydrates and the rest of the half has got vegetables.
Summary of the journey
The realization that I could accomplish and gain such splendid results in such a diminutive time is an eye opener for the right of acquisition of muscles throughout the exercise period. Unbelievably I have been able to gain mass and muscles that matches my basal metabolic index and in fact, have now joined a javelin athletic club in school that constantly helps to maintain stamina of the body. A visit to the physician has also proved that my body has gained a towering rank of wellbeing alongside high-immunity levels. The scare that my kidney would have an overload is a thing of the past and, in fact, I can now comfortably donate blood without fainting. This consequently, has made me to remember my decision to begin an arrangement that worked through my weight gain and thus culminating to an even healthier way to live. This was a true routine revolutionize of my usual day to day activities.
