In health care, people receive multiple forms for information about chronic diseases, wellness programs, prescription drugs, and alternate therapies. The information can be in many forms, such as the internet, brochures, medical sales representatives, TV and radio commercials, and their physicians. How can one be sure the information is valid?
Research a topic from the following choices and determine its validity: )c Chronic disease intervention, such as cardiac rehabilitation, gastric bypass surgery, drug therapy Present information from 3 sources on your findings. Choose the most valid information and rationale for your choice. Discuss how quality of health care products and services are measured in relation to your topic. Also, determine the reliability of the information you selected. Consider where the information came from, who published it, and if they directly benefited from the publication. Give a 7-10 min presentation with a minimum of 8 PowerPoint slides that include detailed speaker notes. Instructor approval of topic is needed by Week Three.
