Call to a second chance
The relationship between Kudini and Gulio has never been a smooth one. Kiki had fallen in love with Gulio the first time Kudini introduced them in the school library. Gulio seemed to be taking advantage of that fact some time after Kudini could not agree to his sexual advances. Kudini was a white haired female rabbit, while her locker mate Kiki had patches of black and white hairs. Kiki was a proud rabbit who always felt beautiful that all the other rabbits in her class. That fact never worried Kudini, her worry was in the fact that Kiki was ready to do anything to be with Gulio. This was not pleasant since Gulio seemed to be playing along. One Friday morning, she witnesses the unthinkable. She always heard the stories about the closeness between Kiki and Gulio, but she had never imagined the extent as to, which it could get.
Gulio and Kiki were kissing along the lecture halls. She watched in disbelief and as the two stood there in surprise. Kiki gave a mischievous smile to Kudini and held Gulios hands. He pushed her hands a way and she turned, sneered at Kudini and walked away. As she went past Kudini, she said, “He is mine now and if you think I am backing off, you are wrong.”
“He will never be yours, find your own boyfriend,” Kudini replied fighting back her tears. She did not want Kiki to notice her weakness and hurt.
“Let us wait and see,” Kiki said and went off. Kiki felt confident that she had won Gulio.
“Do not listen to her Kudini,” Gulio pleaded making to take the hand of Kudini.
“Do you think I would just run into your arms after what I just saw?” Kudini asked Gulio.
‘I did not mean to hurt you Kudini, it was all the idea of Kiki. I never agreed to kiss her,” pleaded Gulio.
“Of course you cannot hurt a fly, am not hurt, just stay away from me.” Kudini told Gulio and she ran to the washrooms.
She stayed in the washrooms for about ten minutes crying her heart out and then went to take her books from class. She was clearly devastated and decided to go home away from the presence of Kiki who was obviously out to have her hurt. She got to the taxi park and asked an elderly rabbit to take her to 5th avenue animal ranch. She was glad to be heading home. All she wanted was to forget about Gulio but the images of him kissing Kiki could not get out of her mind. She knew that Gulio was handsome and an admiration of most rabbits at campus. However, the tenacity of Kiki was too much for her to accept. It was even hard to believe that Gulio accepted to play into her charm without caring for the love she had for him. They had agreed to concentrate in their studies, but it was clear that things were changing so fast in the mind of Gulio and the efforts of Kiki meant a loss to Kudini. That was a fact so hard to believe and it hurt her even more.
When she got home, she went straight into her room and locked herself in there not willing to come out. Her mother tried talking to her inquiring what the problem was but she could not talk and instead went straight to her room and started sobbing. Her relationship to Gulio was so important and she did not want to think of what was happening to them. She knew that her education was the most important and that she still had enough time to get into other relationship, which may be much better. But that was not consolation because all she wanted was to be with Gulio. It was not enough for them to break up after the promises they had given to each other. At the same time, Gulio could not stand separating from Kudini. He soon realized that he had made a very serious mistake flirting with Kiki. He soon realized that he had to react very fast to save their relationship. He realized the fault he had made and decided to take the blame and save their love instead of the stupid impulses he had for Kiki. He was full of regret because he knew that what he did hurt Kudini and feared that she would never forgive him. No efforts to reach Kudini bore fruit and he decided to face her. Within fifteen minutes, he got to Kudinis’ home. He found her mother in the garden and asked if he could see Kudini. It took some pleading before Kudini could eventually accept to come out of her room. She accepted to speak with Gulio who apologized sincerely about his character. In the realization about how much they still loved each other, Gulio said,
“I have learnt my lesson and will never hurt you again.”
“I am afraid of losing you and that gave the greatest scare, which I am not ready to deal with.” Kudini said softly.
“I understand what you mean and we have to deal with the issue of Kiki tomorrow. She will have to understand that you are the most important thing in my life.” Gulio told Kudini and they held onto each other for some time before leaving for his home. The following day, Gulio passed by the house of Kudini and they left for school together. It was a shock for Kiki to see them together after the move she already made thinking that she had won the heart of Gulio. It was a tough reality and when the two lovebirds told her that it was all over, she realized there was nothing she could do to separate Kudini and Gulio. Their love was too strong to be broken by the mere charm of her beauty.

The story of Kudini and Gulio is one that has been smooth until the confusion Gulio has regarding his desires to have physical closeness to Kudini. A situation leaves him weak and vulnerable to the charms of the beauty of Kiki. Kiki believes she is the most beautiful rabbit at campus and uses her beauty to get whatever she wants. Her target is Gulio who is a charming male rabbit in love with Kudini but unaware of how to handle the advances of Kiki. Rumors reach Kudini but the pain downs on her when she finds Gulio and Kiki kissing. The situation causes conflict between the two lovers and it makes Gulio to realize that he can only love Kudini and that the offers from Kiki were mere fantasies. Kudini and Gulio reconcile and realize that the conflict she created between the two is insufficient to ruin their love.
