Group Project #4:
Select one of the three chapters not covered in class (18, 19, 20) and write an overview of the society & arts of the particular cultures featured.
Punctuate your work with images of their art (ID’d in the appropriate manner) and explain them – include the location IF it is ‘in situ’ (i.e. located in the place it was made for – like a monument.) If it is now in a museum or collection, you don’t have to include that info, if you don’t want to.
If religion plays an important cultural role be sure to include at least two works that exemplify their practice, and be sure to explain what part the art plays in the religious practice.
Your group’s chapter overview shouldn’t be any longer than 4-5 pages (if laid out in MS Word). How that translates to PDF (preferable) or Powerpoint (last resort) depends upon the size of your images and the space between lines (I prefer 1.5 line-spacing).
Your project is DUE in the E-Dropbox by Friday, May 1 @ 11:59pm (midnight).
Make SURE you include the last name of each person from your team who participated in the project.
THEN, Please label your project file AH222-01 (or 02, if you are in the afternoon section) followed by the group # and Project #. It should look something like this: AH222-02-Grp3-Proj4.
