Week 2: Leadership Analysis / Development Proposal
As Lauren Mackler noted, effective leaders achieve goals through focus, strategy and commitment.
• Focus: A very clear picture of what you want to achieve.
• Strategy: Very specific concrete actions steps that will bring your vision to life.
• Commitment: A strong outer support system – mentors, friends, coaches.
The paper provides you with an opportunity to discuss the material covered in weeks 1 and 2. After reviewing the leadership assessments, reading assignments, videos and in-class activities, select one competency for your development plan due in week 6. Write a 750 word paper, which analyzes and discusses the material covered in week 1 and week 2.
Define and describe the focus of your development plan.
