In your paper, you are to pick a concept from any of the major theoretical perspectives discussed in class and in your text. Using this concept as a foundation, you are to discuss a social topic that interests you. The idea is to use a topic that can be connected to a theory. For example, Freud’s Psychoanalytical Theory, specifically the concept of the 3 components of personality (the id, ego, and superego) connected to the issue of obesity.
Your paper should be completed in APA style, double-spaced, in Times New Roman 12 point font with 1 inch margins. Papers should be approximately 3 pages in length, excluding your cover page. The writing assignment is due in typed, hard copy form at the beginning of class on

1 page overview of the theory and theoretical concept being used. Use only 1 theory. Cite all references.
1- 1.5 pages discussing social topic. In this section, ensure to incorporate one scholarly journal article that focuses on your topic. Ensure you cite all material.
½ – 1 page connecting the chosen theory to the social topic. This is you applying the theory to the topic.
