Topic:
Evaluation of a personal music experience from a research perspective.
Part 1:
Select an experience from your life where music has a strong impact on you. Describe this experience briefly (<300 words).
Part 2:
Explain how this experience might be better understood with reference to the research presented in one of the seminars. Conduct a literature review of that topic and use this material to compare your own experience with the empirical evidence. (<1200 words, drawing on at least 8 pieces of literature/evidence. Referencing can be in ANY style, as long as you are consistent – APA6, Harvard, Vancouver, etc..)
Part 3:
Suggest future research that might be useful to extend our understanding on such experiences.
Assessment Criteria:
Successful integration of the literature to support personal position
Appropriateness and relevance of suggestions for future research
Clarity of expression
