Weight loss according many it may not entail big alarm but in teens that are undergoing diverse and vital physical developments it may pose threat to their lives. This may result to other complications which may emanate from Adderall medications, thus resulting to death. Mainly Adderall side effects are visible but need close examination coupled with thorough monitoring which comprise daily checking of one’s weight and physical state. The parents or concerned persons charged with the child care ought to be careful on the daily progress of the child and be keen observance of any slight changes (Goldstein 176). The designed experiment will be constant scrutiny of the patient coupled with keen observance of any diverse strange behavior characteristics. The experiment’s scrutiny involves physical observance on the patient where diverse traits are developed while taking the medication rather than clinical.
Adderall is attributed with insomnia where the teen under medication is denied sleep and mainly tends to result in other activities like being obsessed with watching of television while others are asleep (Triangle 88). Here the patient seems only preferring to sleep during the day while he/she must be attending to other activities like being attentive in class. This is not out of normal sleep but body’s exhaustion since one is not having ample energy and gets tired quickly (Triangle 87). The side effects on patients are much recognized despite being almost similar to other general predicaments. Besides weight loss, participants mostly experience dizziness where, for instance, if they are in class may yield to dozing (Goldstein 55).
Adderall also, is characterized with loss of appetite where the participants would decline taking food claiming they are not feeling hungry, and result taking long to experience urge for eating. Mostly their eating would be comprised of taking small portions which is different from what they used to have before medication (Triangle 88). This is a sure test and experiment which the parents need to take note of and take the necessary actions. Additionally, patient’s complaining of constant headache is a sure way to establish effects of Adderall in the patient. By critically observing the child, especially when in class or at moments when one is supposed to be settled the person is restless, and is overwhelmed with feelings of suspicious feeling (Triangle 87).
The targeted group is teenage, mainly is in brackets of 9 to 14 where after taking medication may not know what is happening in their bodies. This group while mingling with other teenagers especially in school may not be easy to notice them in absence of adequate medication’s expertise. The control group may sometimes accommodate some teenagers either below to 6 or up to 16 years, though at rare cases. Since the rampant group and which is vulnerable is 9 – 14 years who are not able to fathom clearly the cause of diverse experiences they are undergoing (Goldstein 102).
My IV is the age bracket which has elevated it to 9 to 14 years contrarily to numerous researches which take the age of 6 to 12. The determining factor of age is the stage at which a teenage starts to experience diverse physical changes which contribute in large food intake. This yields to rapid increment of body among numerous teenagers which prompts their parents to take active role in monitoring their weight. I have taken my DV to be the alterations of normal behavior of a teenager which comprise insomnia leading to other activities throughout the night. In addition, restlessness in the child which affects attention in class coupled with appetite absence and turns to altered eating with skipping meals. Others comprise; headache plus constipation (Goldstein 102).
Despite the experiment being thorough and coupled with keen observance of behavioral alterations, it is affected by contradictions of common signs with other diseases which the patient might be suffering. Consequently making the intended research criteria lack credibility. Headache and constipation is mainly associated with each bodies deeply seated sicknesses, for instance, malaria. Insomnia is attributed also with stress plus depression amid its patients (Goldstein 103). In achieving the required results the patients would undergo meticulous clinical check ups prior to medication coupled with close examination of any minor change during the experimentations.
