Introduction
Pollution is an issue that is affecting the entire planet and the causes result from humankind’s daily activity. States have had forums, which can help reduce the rate of pollution to the atmosphere. Forming organizations that can help in controlling the increased rate of pollution appears to be the best way out. Apparently, global warming is the current leading environmental threat worldwide. It is evident that the United States is accountable for an approximately twenty percent discharge of carbon dioxide, which is the crucial greenhouse gas liable for global warming (Ibrahim, Arif, & Hikmet, 2010). This appears as a principal hazard since it takes one hundred years for the carbon dioxide gas to diffuse to the atmosphere.
Global Warming
Global warming has immense threats to the environment that eventually lead to spread of diseases and other additional risks to all living organisms in the ecosystem. There are plenty of deadly effects of global warming. Insects voyage because of warming resulting to spread diseases causing plagues. Diseases such as malaria have proven difficult to eliminate thanks to global warming. Another arising effect resulting from global warming is the drastic increase of hurricanes and warm waters across the planet (Ibrahim, Arif, & Hikmet, 2010). These come by due to increased oceanic temperatures, which end up causing more recurrent and high magnitude hurricanes. There are areas that are receiving wet climatic conditions because of global warming others get severe heat waves and stern droughts.
Pollution of the ecosystem in ways such as global warming resulted to water being an intensely rare product in continents such as Africa. All living organisms primarily depend on water for survival since it is an essential commodity for day-to-day activities. Panels that carry out forums related to climatic change suggest that global warming stands a chance creating conflicts among different states and eventually leading to war (Haldar, 2011). Countries are likely to face economic consequences where hurricanes will cause damage worth lots of billions. Additional to the economic consequences is the countries spending more funds on treating and controlling diseases.
Aggravating the pollution issue is melting of polar ice that result from global warming. As these polar ice melt, they influence other antagonizing dangers to the environment. To begin with, sea levels raise because of increased temperatures globally, which posses a substantial threat to the well being of the ecosystem (Scudder, 2010). The ice caps compose of fresh water in that when molten they will have the oceans desalinated. This affects the ocean currents that play a leading role in regulating temperatures though it cuts off streams that alternatively acts as a positive way to reduce other effects of global warming.
One of the most terrifying hazards globally is flooding, which destroys human settlements and plantations. Over the past decade, flooding has been a potentially significant impact to global warming. This flooding has resulted from thermal expansion that the outcome from climate alteration (Haldar, 2011). Thermal expansion description is as the state at which warm waters commence to occupy additional space as compared to cool water. As this glacial ice melt it contributes to the elevation of water surface height. Communities located at coastal regions or any low-lying areas will face threats of eradication.
There are far more destructive effects contributed by global warming that include vicious storms. Ocean temperature is a significant aspect in the building up of hurricanes. Some of the consequences humankind has to face due to global warming include a rapid cohort of tempests and hurricanes. Hurricanes are responsible for a great amount of destruction worldwide with its gradual increase by fifty percent over the last three decades. Warmer waters are effective for enormous rates of evaporation, hence, maintain hurricanes’ vigour once in existence (Scudder, 2010). The mode of which desertification effect comes from global warming is currently beyond human indulgent.
Conclusion
Some of the solutions that can contribute to dealing with global warming include the foregoing of fossil fuel. By making sure that there is no more burning of coal, and any other fuel that pollutes the environment such as oil and other natural gases will help eradicate the problem of global warming. Infrastructure requires an upgrade as well to see the support in the fight against global warming (Scudder, 2010). People should move and live closer to their areas of work to ease transportation, which contributes to production of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. By consuming limited greenhouse gas products, it can assist as a solution against the fight for global warming.
