Able Corporation is a business positioned in Tennessee that deals with construction of power devices and a range of similar power products. It manufactures its products locally, and distributes them to large retailers worldwide. Able Corporation invests more finances to guarantee that manufacturing plants are sufficiently repaired and preserved (Abrams, 2003).
Mission statement
To ensure it expands to have other companies globally and ensure it’s the largest manufacturer and distributor of its products by attracting customers and maintaining the quality of its products as well as improving the image of the company and staying a step ahead of the latest technologies and equipment.
SWOT Analysis
Strengths
Able Corporation serves both consumer and manufacturing channels by ensuring it manufactures products, selling them directly to their clients and distributing to other industries as well. Able has been flourishing in its business, gaining a reputation in the business world for the worth of its products. This has enabled it to make good profits thus it seeks to expand. This has enabled it to maintain a strong product fairness and loyalty among both professionals and consumers. It also boasts a professional staff that has been the bearing of its success in the world market. They are well competent and experienced (Ford, 2007).
Weaknesses
Able Corporation has no idea how their market is or how large it is. Though they are able to sell their goods, they end up losing many opportunities for the market because they have not done enough investigation to find out the needs of the market. They should be able to understand the different types of the market to facilitate proper planning. Able does not also have proper knowledge of its competitors. This will help them build on their competitor’s weaknesses. Though the company is making better the quality of its products, a recent survey according to….., shows that the customers rated their products as low quality. The management of this company is also poor causing a high rate of turn over due to poor leadership.
Opportunities
Able Corporation fill the great need for the high demand for cordless power tools that are in high demand from construction workers. Able thus provides a huge select ion of cordless tools. This thus increases the opportunity for consumer channel growth.
Threats
Able Corporation is being threatened by other professionals who have developed strategies that enable them to sell the same quality of goods but at a cheaper price. They thus face a high chance of losing their customers to them.
Marketing Plan
Able Corporation targets the market around England and its environs. Its greatest competitors are the Smith and White Corporation that poses the main threat to the company y. it uses strategies that ensure it captures a large market by producing the same quality goods with the same price. It however seeks to capture the largest market and expand its market (Ford, 2007)
The market strategy that able seeks to take is to re-invest finances from R&D to boost its marketing section. They are seeking to change the perception their customers have of the company and establish the value plan. This will enable it bring back the customers and capture more across the globe. It also seeks to advertise its products to expand its clients by not only using the magazines and newspapers, but also television and radio adverts. The company also seeks to employ a more competent public relations officer to help improve the image of Able Corporation. The company aims to continually update it’s our machines and CAD/CAM (Computer Aided Design / Computer Aided Manufacturing) software so that it can offer its customers innovative, cutting-edge solutions at the best price (Abrams, 2003).
Strategic proposal
One-year plan
Within the period of one year, able company is set to have developed clear strategies that will enable it beat the Smith Company. This will enable it expand thus have clients in the whole of Europe. This it will achieve by advertising and improving its products which will improve the image of the company.
Five-year plan
Within a period of five years, Able Corporation will have expanded in the whole of Asia and Africa. It will have several offices in these countries. This will need a powerful and well construction of the image of the company that will market it. The products will also be improved thus enabling both reduction of prizes and best quality.
Ten-year plan
Within a period of 10 years, Able Corporation will be the largest producing company of power tools. It will be con trolling the largest market share in the world. Its customers will be fully satisfied because it will ensure it satisfies the demands. It will expand this by having several industries that will enable it meet the demands (Ford, 2007).
Able Corporation is an able company to go forward and achieve its mission. Through working out the strategies that have been put in place, it is able to attract a large market globally and be the largest producer of power materials. According to a study done by Abrams, if the leadership becomes more aggressive in its planning and implementation, then the company will certainly go far (Abrams, 2003).
