The Health Care Reform.

The Health Care Reform

According to Health Policy and Politics by Amanda L. Ebner, various reforms are to be put in place to better the Social amenities in the USA. Not once had the nurses made appeals for reforms in their area of jurisdiction. Issues such as the creation of reasonably priced protective care, expansion of the insurance benefits among their patients, decreased over dependent on emergency care and increased job allocation opportunities among the nurses as well as nurturing the skills in nursing were the most dominant. Nursing support teams, such as the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), the American Nurses Association (ANA) and the American Association of Colleges of Nurses (AACN) championed to be assured of $100 million allots to make the necessary modifications such as subsidizing the health centers and construction of nurse-managed health centers. It is important that the problems countenanced by the health quarter be remedied so as every citizen enjoys good medical care regardless of the social class. Despite these challenges that the health sector encountered, the government had shown little concern about them.

These reforms are preceded by a lot of opposition and about 12 lawmakers risk their lives when the angered persons who oppose ,throw a brick in New York Representative Louise Slaughter as a way of protest. Within the house, the two parties slot in serious squabbles of the two acts, namely the Patent Protection & Affordable Care Act and the Health Care & Education Reconciliation Acts. This debate made the President Barrack Obama to give and take into the variance. According to Murray & Montgomery, 34 Democratic traitors vehemently opposed the bill. Their main area of interest was on abortion which they claimed was not to be legalized regardless of the circumstance. However, the bill gained moral and material support from stakeholders, nurses and other employers who saw the logistic of the bill making helpful changes

The merit of the bill was that the funds for implementation of the concerns were to be economized in such a way that the savings of the bill would be more than its expenditure for the 10 years to come. In accordance with the Committee of ways and Means, the only regret on the bill is the burden of funding the project between 2013 and 2015 where the implementation of the outlaid matters is not certain.

Primary care is also promoted in the bill where patients no longer depend on emergency care. In addition, the cash payments have been banned since the insurance takes into account the wellbeing and not just penalizing illness. Primary care had become out of favor by people due to its high costs. Besides, the nurses are always underpaid and this kills their morale of delivering the best they possibly can. Increased payment to the physicians and decrease in the cost charged on treatment will ensure the helper and client are in a good position to be satisfied.

The limited number of nurses has made them strain in their work since there is always an increase in population every year. According to Marquez 2006, the number of nurses has to be kept on the rise in relation to the growing population. More faculties in the field of nursing have to be provided for so that those willing to pursue the course are not locked out as a result of congestion in the field.

For the vision of the USA to offer the best medical care in the world to materialize, allocation of funds to the health sector is the option that should be prioritized for the purpose of restoring a patient-centered community in which every citizen receive the necessary treatment required. Nurses should hence blaze their trail to attain a new health future.
