Introduction
It is worth noting that, in the earlier centuries men were used to taking the roles of female in movies with an example of Shakespeare in love. However, in the today’s society this is not the case. I think this idea is out dated and should not be entertained. With men taking on the role of women in movies, the movies may not look realistic and the theme of the acting may not be absorbed by the intended people. It is usually comical to find a man dressed in woman attire. If a movie involves a man dressed like a woman, the audience would not take the movie with much seriousness as they would when the appropriate gender takes their rightful positions and roles. Such actors are mostly associated with homosexuality and sodomy. If a man can act and display qualities of a woman then he can also do the same in matters concerning sex?
Apparently, faking sexes highly affects scripts and movies in a negative way. For this reason I highly condemn gender substitution for reasons that they would over turn the over all intention of the play or movie. A movie with clear basis and lessons to be learnt may be taken as a comedy especially when there is substitution of sexes. Conversely, the states which prohibit female actresses to take public stage should be comprehensively enlightened on the importance of gender presentations in plays, scripts as well as movies. Notably, the actions of males taking positions of female actresses represent a primitive view as well as a total obstacle to change.
Conversely, women who plays roles of male in a movie depicts a culture that does not respect gender rights though on the other hand, the action may be taken in a different stand. Despite the fact that such actions may depict gender equality, it should be noted that the actions do not respect the role of nature where women are supposed to be submissive and not vice versa.
Conclusion
I therefore hold that, the earlier centuries history should under no circumstance be repeated. Consequently, the governing authorities of a given state, the actors as well as actresses should learn to respect nature laws by taking in roles that match their respective gender.
