Explanation of main themes

As earlier stated, brief background constitutes the starting point of a project whereby communication plan is being structured and some information concerning the type of communication being handled is given. It is after the background information that project objectives are identified accordingly in order to specify the main reason as to why communication plan is being structured as well as goals of the entire project.

The project scope which touches on the entire project coverage is specified whereby the extent to which the project regarding communication plan covers is pointed out. This is important as it enables the objectives to be researched and expanded accordingly such that they show relevance to the issue in question. [2] Communication strategy to be applied within the project is also identified within communication plan being worked on as a management project. This is because there are several distinct communication strategies for such plans and the most effective one for a particular communication plan that is also consistent with its objectives is identified and noted down.

Stakeholders’ analysis forms the next very significant step within the project of structuring communication plan. It is evident that without this data communication plan tends to be deficient in direction as well as force. Stakeholders are in this case people with considerable concern as well as influence with regard to communication project in question. Stakeholders also form people who are normally referred to in the actual operation of project lifecycle. That is, in case any change is to be made, they have to be notified in order to give a go ahead in whatever they think is appropriate.

Other than stakeholder analysis, there is another important analysis that requires being undertaken which is risk analysis. This entails inclusion of all the potential risks as well as issues within communication plan being structured. This section normally constitutes one area where communication is considered vital as there has to be risks that require management for communication to be undertaken effectively. It is after all these factors are well identified and defined that project manger proceeds to compile communication plan. Budgeting is actually the last but among the most important factor that requires consideration as it allocates figures to communication project constituents.

In conclusion, it is evident that a project involving communication covers important factors of project management whereby issues like stakeholders identification, objectives, strategies, risks as well as the budget are covered. [3] A number of things are learnt from this article including the importance of ensuring that all the plan elements are identified before undertaking any communication. This is why it is necessary to prepare a proper plan where every relevant issue is pointed out.
